I had mirena, my insurance paid for it. They also paid for the ER visit to have it taken out because it was causing me a ton of pain and was falling out.

I had the Paragard(just had it removed last week after 5 months of bleeding nonstop) and it cost $137 out of pocket after insurance to put in.

It ended up costing 0 after they refunded me my money (about $600) after it robbed me of an ovary. Woot.
Oh, but they didn't pay for my 18,000 surgery, at least my deductible was only $2500 :rolls:

It took your ovary??

Yep.
An egg fertilized outside of my uterus, turned into a softball sized tumor and strangled my right ovary resulting in emergency surgery to remove my necrotic ovary. It could have killed me. When I let Paragard know what happened, they said. Sorry! Here's a form for your doctor to fill out so we can refund you
