Would you bring her in?

DD's poop is always a little strange, like one slightly firm piece and then the rest usually the rest comes out easier. Well today it was like a really big not too firm piece and then really green water after. And when I wiped her there was blood, this happened last night too (not the poop just the blood). And also this is the 3rd time she pooped out a whole hair

Is this concerning? Especially the hair part worries me, because what if there's a bunch in her tummy?   I try to keep my hair away from her but I'm losing all my pregnancy hair finally so it's all over everything and she's always chewing on it. When I see some I take it off her or away from her and throw it out. But it's hard to get all of them.

It make me scream the first time. Now I just get sad when I see it because I try hard to keep it away. But yeah I feel like I'm going bald I'm losing so much.

If it's bright red blood, and a small amount, than it can be perfectly normal.
Probably just small tears from the hard poo, or from the hair.
Why not put your hair in a pony and keep it like that until you can contain the shedding. Having so much hair falling out that your child is eating it and pooping it out is pretty gross.

It goes back to normal I promise. I took flintstones vitamins for awhile after and it helped (the women's one a day made me sick)

If she's straining when she poops, the blood is probably just a popped hemorroid..

It was bright red, and kinda light red after like pink. And I do keep it up but it just sticks to stuff still. I don't know how to contain it.

Thanks. I'm still taking prenatals because I'm breastfeeding. But I'm still losing a lot.

She might be, but even though it's firm poop she doesn't seem to be straining. SO had just changed her, she was playing and smiling and then I could smell her. She wasn't turning red or holding her breath (which I've seen her do when she poops if she's struggling bad). So I don't really know

Just monitor it, and if it continues take her in. A couple of blood smears is no big deal, but if the bleeding is more consistent then it can be something more serious. I have dealt with this on and off with my LOs.
I agree about putting your hair up or something. I lost a ton of hair too post-partem, but my kids never ended up ingesting it (that I know of). You gotta contain it somehow.

Also, keep an eye out for hair strands cutting off her circulation of digits. Apparently that is one of the most common reasons for uncontrolled crying in infants. Just remembered that.

Okay thank you. And I do put it up but she still rips it out. I can't think of any other way except cutting all of it off, which I really don't want to be bald. And I always make sure I pull it gently off her fingers, because I know it can hurt.

my hair loss post partum was SPECTACULAR
i have super thick, super long hair
and it was falling out IN CLUMPS
i now have bangs. bangs. it looks like i cut my hair into bangs. but i didn't, it's all just growing back along the hair line.
anyways. you gotta wear it in a bun 24/7
that's what i did
i'd wash it, brush it, put it up in a bun and leave it in a bun.
and i was able to keep it away from the bebes

i'd definitely call the pedi tho.
