MRI/Tight Area/Freaking Out!! Help.

Evening ladies!

I have an MRI of my brain and spine in the morning after my nervous system test. I'm terrified of tight spots and spaces...you know that word, I can't spell. Lol.

I have major anxiety and panic attacks. What do you reccomend me doing before? They told me I could take my medicine before to calm me...just to have a driver. What would you do? Or if you have had the same experience...what DID you do??

Thanks. I'm overly freaking myself out. Oh and for anyone who knows..can my husband sit in there with me...probably not,but worth asking.

I'm claustrophobic but I just closed my eyes and actually took a nap. It was the longest I'd been able to be in a "quiet" space on my own

I wish it was that easy for me. When I had my knee MRI ....I was okay but I still hate that machine. I think I will take 2 of my anxiety pills before going in.

You can him in there!!! I've had numerous brain scans and you can't see DH but my dad held my leg to comfort me. Ask if they can sedate you if you think your anxiety medicine won't be enough. Good luck boo.

I did fine. Took some xanax before and did good. Thanks!
