No I dont hit. I do spank started around 2 when the situation called for it. I usually dont feel bad but there was one day I just lost my cool and didnt do my usually count to 10 then speak. I spanked way to hard and I felt horrible. We talked I said I was very sorry we cuddled and cried together.

Never have and i never will. But if i did, I'd feel horrible.

Yeah, I've only spanked (hit) time as a mom, about 4 times, and my oldest is 4. Today, LO was screaming and wouldn't listen and was trying to get into the living room, with his popsicle and I said no, he wouldn't listen, so I up and spanked him on his bum, so hard. I feel absolutely terrible! Im such a horrible mom!! UGH

Yes. He tried to eat his poop so I smacked his butt. He barely even noticed but I bawled my eyes out to my husband. He is three. I really regret it.

I spank my son, because that's what works for him. I didn't spank my oldest because, well...she was never bad, lol.. I didn't spank my middle child either because grounding/time outs worked better for her. Spanking her helped zero in her case...

I rarely do it and its always with warning unless its some extremem danger. The first time I did it she ran out in front of a car at my moms house. I always make sure im never spanking out of anger or frustration.

I "spanked" (aka HIT) her once. She was 5 and ran up to a strange dog that snapped at her, I yanked her back and spanked her. I nearly threw up when I realized what I'd done.

She forgot about it quickly, I think because the terror of the crazy dog overshadowed me being momentarily crazy, but I haven't and I regretted it a long time after.

I don't believe in or condone it as a practice. I understand if it happens once or twice, but as a "parenting" technique? Hell smurfing no.
