USPS-mis-shipped

Anyone else know what this means?

The item was supposed to be here yesterday, we acquired the tracking number only to see it's been mis-shipped, and not far from here either.

But we've never had an item mis-shipped. Regarding USPS what does that mean?

There's no delivery date now.

They should re-route it to you. You can always call them to for an update.

If its what happened to me it means it got put on the wrong delievery truck.

I'm hoping that's what it meant.

We don't like to call them because they always tell us, "This isn't our problem."

They've sent things to our old address and actually delivered them to the new tenant disregarding the fowarding address.

Or like when they claim they've shipped my item over Christmas, when the item was priority and mysteriously got lost but when we called it magically shipped the next day.  

It just means it was on the wrong truck and then got scanned at the wrong place. It usually gets reshipped to the right address it could take an extra day or two to get to you depending on where it went

It's actually like 2 cities over. So instead of going North to Battle Ground, it went 30 miles south to Portland, OR. Different state but still not far.

they'll redirect it   i've had it happen a few times

I just get worried. Because if you even try to call them it's "not their problem"

And that's annoying you know? So I figured I'd ask here first. I've never had it happen, and it doesn't really bother me but it's still annoying.
