friendship lost

Have you ever had a good friend just stop talking to you without any reason?

I had been friends with this girl for 14 years. We went to Jr. High and High school together. I was with her when her father died and help her through the suicide of her mother's boyfriend after that. We went to different colleges and yet I still tutored her in math. In 2011 we both suffered miscarriages and in 2012 we found out we were both pregnant and only due a week apart. After that she stopped talking to me. I heard she went into labor in early November but knew her baby wasn't due until late January. I tried reaching out to her but she won't speak to me. Thankfully her baby made it after spending some time in the NICU. Her family won't even speak to me and I have always been on great terms with all of them.

Today is the first time I have seen her in almost a year. She had her baby with her but she didn't even say hello or anything. I didn't know what to say or do. I have messaged her different times over facebook asking what I did to cause her to stop talking to me but she won't answer my question. I just wish I understood why? Good friends are very hard to come by these days and she was one of the greatest friends I have ever had.

That's awful. I had a high school friend do that to me, didnt even say congrats when dd was born. She was suppose to be a bridesmaid at my wedding and now she's not even invited. It's too bad people have to be like that.

OUch that has to hurt sooo sorry. I kinda did that to a friend (of 5 years) but I did let her know why. I hope she can give you a reason so you can either move on or find a way to mend the relationship. Sorry, that sucks 

I have had several really good friends do that to me as well. It always sucks when you lose that relationship with someone who you thought was going to be there for you.Hopefully you can find an answer as to why and get some closure.

I have a feeling her SIL said something to cause this. Her SIL was my manager at my old job and I knew from the get go she was two faced. But I know whatever was said was a lie, because I have never said one negative thing about my old friend. She is good person, and was a great friend. And I know she making a great mother. I just wish we could have shared our motherhood together and let our children grow up as friends.

Do you have a mutual friend who could reach out to her on your behalf? And if it was something the SIL said she still should have talked to you about it vs believing a third party. Hopefully you can reach out to her, how sad you have babies around the same age too

She still talks to my sisters. I asked them to find out what is going on but they won't get involved. So much for sisterly love.

WHAT??!!! That's all kinds of messed up! I can understand not getting involved but hell they absolutely have to know what's going on. Maybe as a last ditch effort try a hand written letter (more personal than an email of FB message IMO) and ask one of your sisters to at least pass it on. That wouldn't be getting involved and you would know she got it. WTH sucks all around for you, that's just rude for her to continue with your sisters and not at least give ytou a reason, even a lame ass one

She wasn't even really friend with my sisters. My sisters and I are complete opposites.

I was thinking of sending her an invite to my Meet The Baby Shower. My aunts are throwing it for me next month since I didn't have a baby shower before she came. The invites would come from my aunts address not mine so at least she would open it.

Well I'd say that's a step and you are reaching out. Hopefully she comes or talks to you. Have a great party though!!
