does this make sense??!

So I had my blood drawn to check where my HCG levels were. I had a week of light positive tests then went to negative last Tuesday. Saw the dr this monday and he thought I was still preggo since my cervix was closed and blue and my uterus was still enlarged. So blood work from yesterday came back and the level was down to 1. I still haven't really had any bleeding. So the nurse calls and tells me the results and that I probably got my positives from a high LH level??? Umm ok but 6 days of positives?? I called back and asked for the doctor to call me since this doesn't make sense to me. Just wanted to see if this makes sense to anyone else??

Do pregnancy tests detect LH? I know LH and HcG are very similar on a molecular level but I didn't think pregnancy tests picked up HcG. Seems like an odd answer to me.

No it's not to pick up LH it's a HCG test.. Sounds like a dumb answer cause they don't know exactly what's going on. If my test last Tue was neg that means my level was below 20 at that point (cause that's what it usually takes to detect on the basic hpt) so for it to drop in 8 days doesn't seem too off to me. Or i may be crazy??!! LOL My main concern is I haven't been able to pass a m/c on my own so now I'm kinda in limbo i guess waiting. This is so annoying! grrrrrr

Yeah i think it's a stupid answer and it doesn't make sense.
