If you go to the gym..

Does the bicycle machine really work? Also..what about the elliptical?!   Tell me some secrets so I can get back in shape!

The secret is to find something you love to do (or don't mind at least!) and do it and keep with it.

Right now, I will like anything that works!   That's why I'm trying to figure out what is the best machine to do..so I can get on that sucker at the gym tomorrow!

Well, any form of cardio works. It just all depends on how you use it to your advantage.

Say you like the stepper... look up some boot camp style cardio workouts or something that will really get you sweating and your heart rate pumping.

Same for elliptical... treadmill, etc.

The problem is that when alot of women are on a cardio machine they kind of space out. Your have to actually focus on your muscles to get them to burn fat faster. Try keeping your heels off the platform when you're on the Elliptical (like on your tip-toes). That will engage your muscles quite a bit more. Let me know if you have any other questions or need good tips for problem areas!

When you're doing cardio, you want to reach your target heartrate and keep it there for at least 15-20 minutes. They usually have them on the machines. If you are pregnant, your heartrate is not supposed to get above 140 for long periods of time. And a lot of that depends on how active you were pre-pregnancy. If you didn't work out before you got pregnant, don't start doing an hour work out every day.

For your stomach, try doing crunches on a yoga ball. You'll have a greater range of motion and exercise your lower muscles more efficiently. And for your thighs and butt, lunges and squats are the best for toning and shaping.

DUDE!!! So i didnt really think the cycle did much either, then i decided to take a spin class...OMG! Seriously that is the best work out i've ever gotten! after i have the baby i'm gonna Attempt to take the class again. so if you can do it, that'll whip your butt in to shape real quick!!

Okay so whoever told me about the Pilates ball.. wow. I got one yesterday and just did some crunches on it...WOW. OUUUUCH!   How long until I start seeing results?
