"Newborn" photos go viral

There is a family who adopted a 13 year old boy, and they did "newborn" photos. Apparently it has offended a lot of people. What are your thoughts?

What is offensive about it? The kid is 13... obviously he gets the joke. I don't understand why people let the smallest things that have NOTHING to do with their lives offend them....

I think it's sweet but looks kinda funny lol. Why not just take regular pictures of him?

Seriously. Nothing is wrong its a mother taking pictures of her son and re-creating a moment that neither got. I think its special and awesome that he was comfortable doing it.

I actually think it's pretty cute. lol. I have *no* clue why it would be offensive, but some people were calling it disgusting. How so?? I don't see it. I see something cute and funny, and a great memory for the start of their family.

Ya know, it's somewhat odd with all the newborn poses when it's a 13 year old - frankly, if I were the one adopting, I wouldn't want to dwell on the fact that my newly adopted child didn't have baby photos, these are things that cannot be changed now.. I'd want him to look to the future, a brighter one.. and I'd opt to do a 'welcome to the family' photoshoot, instead. But that's me..

If the boy and the mother wanted the newborn looking ones.. totally their business, just not my style.

Oh, please. People are offended over everything. Not your type of humor? Big deal. They obviously got a kick out of it, doesn't appear that the boy is in any danger
