Depo Shot vs implanon

What do you ladies think

Depo.
I've never had any problem with it.

I've been on both and I liked the implanon better. I got hot flashes, gain weight, and started growing facial hair on the depo. Implanon my only side effect was a little weight gain. Both of them completely stopped my period.

Been on both. Hated, hated, hated Depo and it was hard af to get pregnant after it. Implanon was good but I started losing my hair. PEriods/ovulation went back to normal 2 weeks after it was removed.

I had implanon twice and got horrible headaches with them. A lot of people have said to have had major issues with the implant too, but the Depo a few have said weight gain and the others no problem

Depo is poison. I bled for 5 months almost straight (minus a day of not bleeding here and there). My sisters implanon stopped working and it made her hemmorage and caused cysts to grow. And my sil had her paragard removed due to "complications."

I had no problem with Nexplanon which is the new Implanon.... only complaint is that my body attached itself to it so when they cut it out they had to cut a little wider...now I have a very visable ugly scar on my arm...its tiny about an inch big but you can see its from across the room...I don't think it will fade for years and when I got it I didn't anticipate a scar like this when removed... Still love it though but I did experience some slight hair loss after time.

All together about 4 years minus my pregnancy.

How long did the hair loss last? Did you have to do anything special to get it to stop?

I have only had the Depo....it was terrible, I felt like I was on an emotional roller coaster....my moods were all over the place because I was so full of hormones. I spotted the whole three months that I was on it the worst part of it for me was, I was on it for 3 months, once youre injected its not like you can stop taking it. I would never ever take it again. ever.

It didn't stop till I got off it, it wasn't anything drastic like going bald or anything, I just started to notcice about a month after having it put in that there was more hair in the shower drain and I was pulling my hair strands off of my kids and stuff, in my hair brush, etc....
