NO progress. :(

I was sure I had made some progress. And got it confirmed she does in fact have my EDD at the 16th. I explained my confusion because she had originally said she'd like to keep it at the 8th and then a rotation OB said she'd changed it to the 16th. etc., So I'm just shy of 40 weeks. NO progress though. I'm still at 2 cm, and she said she's concerned that she hasn't come down further in my pelvis. Originally stating at first she wasn't concerned at my weight gain (nearly 60 lbs) but she is concerned baby has gotten to big to fit/drop down, to where she needs to be. She ordered an ultrasound for next Thurs. And said we'd be going from there. So induction/c-section talks. Meaning I know I'll have my baby girl by next weekend. Just don't know exactly how she'll be arriving... Not scared, but a little disappointed. Although proud of myself I had yet to bring it up, she brought it up. Like I originally wanted I did not want to walk in there and say I wanted to be induced. She said the same thing happened with her first daughter. She showed progress then stopped completely because she had gotten too big... I hear the 'too big' thing can be a farse to get you to agree induce/c-section. But with my ribs the way they are, and being either over due or nearly due. Still unsure about that. I'm just done. Baby girl on the brighter side of things, is absolutely healthy. Healthy heart beat and moving like a champ. So that brightened my day. I like hearing she's healthy. Sad I didn't go home with a baby. But glad she's healthy and comfy. One more week. (For sure this time)

Aw, I'm sorry there's nothing else going on but at least it feels more finite and like there's a definite end in sight.

That's what I said to my SO. And my SO in his usual fashion suggested "We could always just... you know... have more sex...." lol he always makes me laugh. I'm not too down. I want my baby girl. But I'm really glad she's healthy and that's all that matters. So whether it be c-section or induction. I know she'll be here by next weekend. Which is just as exciting and gives me a week to prepare further for either event. I've had a feeling of a c-section delivery since I found out I was pregnant. I wasn't even supposed to be able to carry to term... So I always kind of suspected for that same reason I wouldn't be able to vaginally deliver. Definitely just ready for this ride to be over.

Can u try Yoga ball exercises and squats to help her descend? A lot of feb dd babies have been huge. Lots of 9-10 lbers. Mine being a big preemie. It's crazy.

It's all those holiday months that passed man I swear. Cake... it's the cake...
And yeah the plan was if I didn't come home with a date or a baby. I'd be picking a ball up tomorrow night. I do squats, and kneeling squats but being so swollen the standing squats have put my knees out a few times... God I'm just so glad it'll only be one more week. At least they're healthy, big but, but healthy, you know  !

I had a big boy, 9lb 10oz and he wouldn't fit in my pelvis. At my 40 week appt the doc wanted to induce me and I refused until I was 41 weeks 3 days and he ended up being too big. I pushed for 2.5 hours and he hadn't budged an inch. I had a c-section. He has my husband's big head, lol. I hope this one is smaller.

I'm definitely not all the worried I really trust my doctor. She's been on the practice so long. that I wouldn't doubt he decision for a second. I always hear how your body wont make a baby too big for you. But it happens. Evolution you know. I wasn't supposed to have this baby so like I said I'm not all too surprised. Definitely just ready to meet my baby girl. And have my body to myself. Though I don't know how I'm going to handle not having my kicky baby inside!

Also don't know why but I can't type a coherent paragraph so many typo's and he/instead of she and my bad. Lol I'm really tired.

If you knew your baby was going to be that big would you have gotten induced earlier or just waited and had a c-section?

Went today and for sure will be induced by next weekend if she dont come on her own ugh i wish she would just come already lol...

I have to go see her Monday if I dont go in labor this weekend... She will schedule me for an ultrasound and then schedule me for the induction for the weekend. She didnt mention any c-section but she does say she is a big baby!!!

Good luck mama. My doctor wont induce or likes to wait until at least after 41 weeks. Which I thought I was about to hit, but she has me down a week behind. So I have to wait until next Thursday.

Idk, I don't think being induced earlier would have made much of a difference with the size of his head. I don't like the idea of being induced. He stayed in there for a reason. I'm just hoping this one has a smaller head so I can try for a VBAC.
