How to wean off the boob at night
posted 14th Feb
DD is 10 months and will not sleep without the boob in her mouth. All. Night. Long. She has to hold it with both hands and have it in her mouth. Every now and the she will give it a suckle. Sometimes she will roll away for 20-30 minutes. How can I get her to stop this?? It's just started in the past month. I don't want to stop breastfeeding but I want to stop this behavior. It's so annoying and I'm getting no sleep.

They need the boob at night. If you wean at night, then you pretty much wean all together...

To night wean, i had to stop co-sleeping around 8 months with DS. If he woke up, my ex-husband would get up with him and rock or hold him until he fell back to sleep. I still nursed him during the day and didn't fully wean until 16 months.

She won't sleep in her crib and I'm a single mom. She's got little sensors and as soon as she is laid down in her crib she wakes up and freeeeeaks out. But she will sleep in it at daycare!
I know her separation anxiety is high right now so maybe this will fade out as that does. I'm gonna look up the no cry thing a pp suggested. Thanks!

Dd is 16 months and still wakes up a lot at night to nurse. Let me know when you find the secret lol! I'm guessing time is the only thing to get dd to wean

I want to bf as long as possible. This not being able to move at night thing just makes me hate it from 6:30pm-5:30am. Lol

Like someone else said...try the no cry sleep solution. It worked great for me...DS is almost 7 months old and cosleeps...he still wakes up to nurse once a night, but he needs that, i can hear his tummy growl sometimes. It did help to get him to sleep through the night though good luck.
