Dizzy and nauseous

posted 14th Feb
Anyone experience feeling super woozy, dizzy, and nauseous before labor maybe? I'm like, looking at everything as a sign of labor lol. My BP is perfect, I've eaten, no glucose in my urine. No idea why I would be feeling like this... I'll be 39 weeks Saturday.

Dizziness is a fairly normal symptom in a lot of pregnancies. It has something to do with the changes in blood volume and distribution of blood. Just get up slowly, stay hydrated and as long as your BP and other vitals are normal you're fine.

I thought your blood volume was supposed to regulate itself at this point in pregnancy?

I thought- now I'm not sure because I am by NO means an OB nurse- that your blood volume doesn't stop changing from about 8 weeks into your pregnancy- 4 weeks pp. We always had gals come in to the ER with "dizziness and pregnancy" and 19 times out of 20 they were discharged with the dx pretty much saying it was normal pregnancy changes.

As I said, don't quote me because when the big ole preggers came thought the doors I'd make myself scarce! The ER I worked at in STL Mo didn't have an OB, ped or any sort of gynie dept (or doc) so if we had a lady come in with preggo issue we were stuck til she was stable, delivered and/or could be shipped out safely. I was all over those walk-in gunshot wounds, pedestrian vs. car or other gory/trauma things but show me a pregnant lady and I'd freeze!

The ER I worked at in KY sent all pregnant ladies past 14 weeks straight to OB.

I'm going to be 39 weeks on Sunday. I cant keep anything down either and dizzy but they already told me I have acid reflex due to the prgnancy. I think it's normal.
