Unfreezing frozen soup

How do YOU unfreeze, frozen soup?

I need it for tonight, was dumb and just took it out.

i just put it frozen into a pan on the stove and reheat it slowly

I would sit the entire container inside a pot with warm water in it.

Put it in room temp. water and let it sit, change the water out every 30 minutes or so.

I put it in the crock pot and turn it on to low.

Thaw it like you'd that anything else (in a sink, or defrost). You can actually cook frozen soup on the stove top, crock pot or microwave, but it takes awhile.

I freeze soup a lot. I usually put it into containers that will fit into a pot. Therefore i can boil it for a few minutes in that boiling water inside the container to thaw it out enough to gt it out of the container. Then i pour out the water & put the soup itself into the pan & heat it like nornal. Or you could thaw in the microwave if your container won't try to melt or explode or anyting.
