drink???

posted 14th Feb
Ok so the big dinner tonight is Shrimp and steak kabobs, Lobster ravioli in a crab sauce and cheesecake with strawberry sauce.

What should we drink? I was thinking about a champagne (we usually do that for any special occasion) but would it go with that meal? or should I get some type of wine? I have no clue about wine, so I wouldn't even begin to know what to get.

Also nothing too expensive lol mommas on a budget

oh and possibly a stupid question here, but does it have a cork? Like would I need a corkscrew to open it?

Its alcoholic fruit juice. Its WAY too sweet for that meal (lobster, crab, and shrimp are all a little sweet in flavor, too much sweet on sweet).

I'd go with a Riesling or an Chardonnay---the reisling is a little sweeter than most standard wines, its really a middle-ground wine as far as sweet vs dry goes. I'd suggest white wine for sure with all the seafood.

There are lots of good wines around, but when you go into the shop, ask for specific brands---I'd suggest one but I live in wine country and many of the brands I get here aren't available everywhere.

I think it is nasty. Someone bought me a bottle of Cupcake Muscato and I took one sip and spit it out. Way too sweet.
I'd personally go with a Cab with the meal mentioned above. Cupcake Cab is smooth and inexpensive. (Like under $10 a bottle)

Depends on the brand.
