Labor starting as cramping?

Anyone have their labor start with just cramping?
Im having bad cramping, like a bad period. It sucks and ive been so nauseous this morning and have already (TMI) had to poo 4 times   I feel like hell today! Just hoping this is the start of labor. I find out in a few hours if ive dilated any *fingers crossed*

When I look back it was early labor. I just thought I was crampy and my back hurt and I went to bed at 7pm, water broke at 3:30.

I had period like cramps for 12 hours. They gradually became true timeable contractions.

Yeah that's how my labor started. I was getting these real bad cramps like I had to poo. After trying several times about 7 minutes apart I was like oh these are contractions...

I get contractions on and off for hours since about 34 weeks but have yet to be crampy. Im hoping this is early labor

Up until you had them?? Like no "real" contractions?!

those were my contractions (I always had really bad cramps front and in my back when i get my period) Don't get me wrong, they got intense but it just felt like my period cramps getting worse.

Wow. Thats kinda scary though lol. To wonder if its just cramping or labor.

I was induced both times (first time pitocin and 2nd time they just broke my water) Lol so i never had to really worry about that.

Thats what i had so i called just to see if i should go in and get checked they said to come get checked being im risk for preterm labor and they ended up giveing me medicine to stop labor so it could be the start of labor

Early contractions almost always feel like period cramps in the beginning. For me when real labor starts and a couple of hours into it, i notice they start coming in waves and I can feel my belly squeezing at the same time. Most people get a lot more than crampy when they need to go in and get seen though. The general rule is you need contractions to be 3 to 5 minutes apart lasting over a minute each for an hour. You also shouldn't be able to talk through the contractions because of pain level/discomfort.

Yeah, i have contractions for 2-3 mins apart for 3 hours at a time and then they go away. No progression. Im told not to go in unless my water breaks, bleeding or im positive the contractions are horribly unbearable.
