Potty training

What age did you start potty training? Dd is 1 and I'm starting today. I know it will take awhile for her to actually get it but how long did it take for your lo to get it down?

My daughter started practicing at 16 months. She is now peeing and pooping on the potty at 20 months old. She still has accidents so not fully trained.

DD is 18 months and she can tell me when she needs to go but most of the time she tells me just after she has gone. we are still working on it

1 as in 12 months, or one as in like 18 months? Trust me, those few months will make all the difference.

DD uses her potty off and on, sometimes when she's having trouble pooping I'll set her on the potty seat so she can poop there, and really bear down, but we haven't begun serious potty training yet because she won't understand it for at least another month.

Zaida has gone in spurts. She had a great run around fifteen months then we have tried off and on since then and she just turned two a few weeks ago and it seems we are finally toward the end this time.

My daughter just turned 2 and she hates the potty :/

I am not starting till my son shows all signs of readiness. He is 2 years old.

12 months. Im going to do what my mom did with me. She started when I was 12 months and said she took me with in 15 min after drinking. I am just focusing on peeing right now. Apparently by 18 months I was fully trained. I am not holding my breath that dd will get it within 6 months though lol.

Oh... well don't get too excited about it... I've yet to see a child need to pee 15 minutes after drinking, every time, and at 12 months, they just don't have the cognitive skills to comprehend what you want when it comes to potty training. But give it a shot, good luck to you!

I really hope that isnt the case with us. I took dd earlier and she did use the potty I was shocked but I think I just got lucky

Im not lol. Just wishful I guess lol. It would be nice though.

I started around 2 1/2 but he only would go pee in potty,now at 3 he is fully potty trained and has been for a few weeks.

I think you should look into EC. That sounds more like what you will be doing, rather than actual potty training.

I did EC with my son starting at 6m old. I'd put him on the potty every morning, first thing and he almost always went. I didn't actually PT him until 23m though.

I have looked at that but from my understanding its signals they give and for peeing she doesnt give any signals. Unless i misunderstood the whole EC thing
