Her incision actually looks really small. Since she opted for a planned C they scheduled her for exactly on her 39wks. He was like 5lbs 5ozs, jaundice and had breathing issues. He had to stay a week in the NICU. And she still says she would do it all over again. Ugh. She's just a selfish lady. She dropped him off on a doorstep basically when he was 5 and never came back, but now cries when he says he doesn't view her as his mom.

He won't feel that way. My SO at least has never seemed to have had a problem haha  I have like a huge lump above my incision too. Its not on my incision so I'm not sure what it's coming from. But it's gross and I hope it gets better over time.

I'm pretty sure that's normal.. I had some swelling around my scar for a while and I hated the way it looked, but it went away after a while. The actual scar looks a lot better now, and it doesn't have the "flap" you were talking about, but like I said.. it's like they didn't stitch my stomach up tight enough and my stomach skin kinda folds over it lol but apparently that's normal. I hate it though.

I have stretch marks down low from dd1 and it makes that whole lower abdomen area disgusting as it is. So that doesn't help   the skin just won't tighten back up down there. It's so gross.

I got a few stretch marks from my first on my lower stomach, not a lot.. like three or four little ones and once I shrunk back down they lightened up but I still hate my stomach. Also because I'm a diabetic and used to take most of my insulin shots in my stomach so I have these lumps of scar tissue on my tummy where I used to take em. I think that's why I got the one big stretch mark on my stomach.. from the lump of scar tissue cuz that's exactly where it is. So yeah, my stomach's a mess. Scar tissue, stretch marks, c-section scar.. you name it, I got it..

Because there's a higher risk of death for both infant and mother. Unless of course there's a real medical reason.

I've never heard a c-section has a higher chance of death for mother or child..

Um, considering a C-section is major abdominal surgery, it should be a given that the death rate for c-sections are higher than natural labor. You add a higher risk of infection, going septic, and so many other things that can go wrong.

You should watch the Business of being Born. It's an eye opener.

I watched it. I loved it. It explains so much and shines a lot of light on what the birthing process could be

Between that and Pregnant in America, it really shines a light on american Obstetrics and Gynecology, and how back-ass-wards we're really doing things. It's absolutely amazing. SO even watched the Business of being Born with me.

I can't bring myself to watch it cause I cry just thinking about it cause I know what it's about   I had no choice in my csection. I actually am in counseling for PTSD from my pregnancy. I cry when I think about natural births and when I hear other peoples labor stories or watch a baby story
