i would never want a c section just because..i had a c section with my first on 2-8-13 and i will tell yu from my experience it is not fun! recovery is painful the operating room is scary and even after your out of surgery they require you to sit in recovery for 2 hours before you can even see your child..atleast this was my experience idk about other places and people..its hard to bounce back immediately from a c section..its stupid to want one just because

I don't know how weird it is.. I know I'll probably be asked which I'm going to want because I had a c-section with my first, but the way I see it.. her body, her choice. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do when they ask, I'm probably going to go for vaginal delivery but at the same time I'll know what to expect with a c-section. Some people have a real fear of going into labor.. I read about a woman who ran out of the hospital during labor because she was terrified, so if that's the case.. why not have a c-section? If it's what she's comfortable with, so be it. I don't see how it's irresponsible..

Hated having a c section and I'm not sure why any woman would want to have a csection. The thought of it scared me so much I cried but my body was not progressing towards labor and two days away from 42 weeks. I hated it and was in so much pain I could barely move without hurting. Thank god MIL stayed home with me to help with the baby.

The woman OP is describing has already had a child once, she's not scared of labor. She wants to schedule the exact day and time she gives birth. THAT is irresponsible and reckless. C-sections have a higher chance of death than labor does. Abdominal surgery should be your last option, and only chosen because you or the child is in danger, not to convenience the mother.

I think anyone should have the right to choose how they want to have their child but dr should educate them. I wouldn't personally choose a major surgery over some short term pain. But meh. My ex's mom had an elective csection with him cause she said "no way in hell am I pushing him out of my perfect vagina."

So she'd rather ruin her stomache? Cause I hate this flap over my incision. I'd much rather have my vag stitched again.

I'm so self concious about my stomach since I had my c-section. It's not even the scar, but the way my skin kinda folds over the scar.. it's like they didn't stitch my stomach up tight enough or something lol but I've heard that's normal. I'm probably gonna go with a vaginal delivery for this one but I'm scared because I won't know what to expect.. I'm afraid my man will never look at my vag the same way again if he sees a baby coming out of it hahah and I'm afraid sex will feel different afterwards (for him I mean).. like what if I get crazy loose or something? Trust me, this isn't keeping me from doing a vaginal delivery, I'm almost positive that's what I'm going to do this time around.. but I'm scared! lol
