Need help with recipe

If I want to replace the mushrooms with fresh ones which kind should I get? Or should I just stick to canned?
What kind of wine should I use? DH doesn't like wine sauces but I figure with all the other stuff you won't really taste it...

I don;t drink wine so I don't know about that but for the mushrooms just get the little ones that come in the blue container. Fresh is always better so I wouldn't stick with the cans.

I would just get the fresh button mushrooms and throw all that in the crock pot

We're doing good! He will be 2 weeks tomorrow  
He has assistance breathing and is being fed through a tube but he's just over 3lbs and eating strictly breastmilk and doing great!
