Bradley vs Hypno Birthing Classes
posted 14th Feb
I want to do either Bradley method or Hypno birthing classes. Have you done one or the other? What did you like/dislike? They are a huge chunk of change so I really want some opinions before I decide what to go with...

Nice ! I wish that was my case. They are both around 400$ each here o.O so I need to make a choice that I am happy with if I'm spending that much lol but I want a waterbirth with hopefully no interventions and my last was a 28hr,with epi, with vacuum extraction and tears so I know that is not what I want again.

Wow that is a lot! I'd probably go with the hypnobirthing class if I had to choose. Are you planning a home water birth?
I hear you, I hated my first birth, baby was born not breathing from the stress of the unnecessary pitocin and then they wouldn't let me push until the OB was ready.. which led to tearing and an episiotomy. Home birth all the way this time!

I did the hynobirthing classes and when it csme time to deliver the techniques that were taught to me were extremely helpful. Pain management was a breeze

I did Bradley method and I highly highly recommend!! Without the classes I definitely would not have had a all natural birth!

I wish I could afford an at home! But for me the hospital birth will be fully covered so I am hoping to do a in hospital waterbirth with a midwife next best thing to a home birth lol. I've looked into birthing centers but none take my insurance unfortunately.

I'm just worried about the 12 week commitment did you find it easy to stick with it? It just seems like such a long time lol.

Oh wow! It would have been more expensive for me to have a hospital birth.. Either way I have to pay my deductible since my pregnancy rolled into the new year.. And my midwife is very flexible with payments.
I hope you get your water birth!! I wanted a hospital water birth for my first but my first OB wouldn't do water births for first time moms and my second didn't have tubs at the hospital.

I loved it. I looked forward to the classes each week plus me and SO both worked so that night a week was guaranteed time that we got to spend together. I was so sad when they ended. I also felt like it sped up the time I was pregnant lol.

I didn't take a class, but I bought an album on itunes. I used it to help me fall asleep while I was pregnant but when I was laboring, it irritated me. I wish it had helped me, but I needed my mind blank.
