from alimentum to regular

posted 14th Feb
the title basically says it. WIC told DH today when he took her that they want us to talk to her pedi about switching her. i really don't think it's a good idea. i know that sometimes "problems" fix themselves but i really don't want to put us and DD through all that again. we went through hell changing her formula every other wk for like 2-3 months to finally settle her on alimentum. i feel like we just got her situated and her vomiting down, to just turn around and start all over.

If she ended up on it assuming she had a milk protein allergy, I would keep her on it for the full year and then just try introducing regular milk at that point to see if she outgrew it. I wouldn't switch before then though at the risk of messing things up again and hurting her little developing tummy.

My son was on Alimuntem until he was 1. We then tried to introduce regular milk and he still had issues so he was on almond milk for a couple months. We then tried to introduce regular milk again and he was fine so I'm assuming he outgrew it. I'd fight to keep her on it...
