I should be okay, right?

posted 13th Feb
So Monday made two weeks since my gallbladder was removed. I saw my doctor Tuesday and he said everything looked great.
I just looked down and one of my scars is a little red and a little puffy. It doesn't hurt and I poked at it a little and there was no pus or anything, either. It could just be a little irritated, right? It's nearly midnight and it seems like a stupid thing to call my doctor about right now. But I have some pretty bad anxiety and I'm bad at gauging these things.

Is it warm to the touch? Do you have any triple antibiotic that you can put on it? It could be infected, but it could also be the normal healing process.

Just irritated, should go away as long as there is no pus

Sounds normal to me. The scars from all of my surgerys have done that. As long as it isnt draining and doesnt have fever in it you should be fine.

No, it isn't warm, either. I wouldn't have noticed it had I not looked down. I'm wondering if DS hit it because he did kick me there when trying to climb onto the couch but I didn't think he was that far over.

Thanks. This is the first surgery I've had. If it gets infected I might cry. I'm so tired of hospitals, doctors, and needles.

Yeah I've grown to hate hospitals too. Just keep your eye on it, if it starts to drain or show any signs of infection get it taked care of But, from what you've said it sounds normal.
