screaming baby in car at night.

my son hates car rides at night time. He will scream and scream until I pull over and take him out to calm down. I have tried giving him a flashlight, singing to him, talking to him, different types of music, toys, etc. I just don't know what to do. I kinda have to travel back home. I take quite a few stops while on my way home to calm him down because he is screaming that bad. He has been like this for months. He is almost 10 months old.

I know he is little but a portable DVD player might help. It will both light up his area and distract him.

Never thought of that idea, I just feel so bad for him. I am going to have to find our portable dvd player now and try it out next time we are in the car at night time.

This is what we do. We have one that goes on the back on the head rest so he can see it RFd. I just have to wrap a jacket around the bottom so it cushioned from him kicking it. Works like a charm and is a real life saver for road trips.

I do already have a portable dvd player just have never really used it except on one long trip before baby was born. I am going to have to dig it out of the closet!
