I just don't understand! I need advice please!

My daughters father is in jail for statutory rape we broke up when I was 9 weeks along and he went to a party hooked up with this girl and got arrested for it , CPS came to the hospital the day I was getting discharged and told me if I involve him they would take her , and I have no problem with that. Well his family found out and now they are threating to make false allegations against me in attemp to try to take my daughter from me , I have been crying ever since they said this. I am a good mom. I bought everything for her, I sacrificed everything to be a good mom. I love her more than anything in the whole world. Why would someone do that, they have nothing against me , nothing at all. My daughter is very well taken care of I just don't understand...

What are they going to do? Make up stories that you and him are engaging?

Do not stress it momma. They can make false allegations all they want. They cannot take the baby away if they do not find anything.

No they are mad because I won't involve him , so they are thatim abusing her and I'm druggie and smurf like that. I have been clean for a long time. And I haven't spoken to him since he got arrested.

If the say either of those things you will be okay. They will have to find suspicious bruises or marks on baby to prove abuse and if they believe you do drugs they will have you do a drug test to show otherwise.

Then what do you have to worry about?

Yeah, it will be a pain in the ass....but if you can pass drug test, show your stable emotionally and financially, have a good support system behind you....you'll be fine.

If they do make false claims... then I am pretty sure you can put an order of protection on them.

I know they don't have anything against me, so I'm not really worried but it does scare me, even though I know they won't take her. I just don't understand why someone would try to take a child from her mother for no reason...

Is there any way you can just cut off all contact with these people? They can say what they want but they won't have any proof because A. they won't even see you and B. you're not doing any of the smurf they claim you are.

Yeah I blocked them all of Facebook and all their numbers from my phone , I live in a different town from them and they don't know know my address. Can they even turn me in if they don't know where I live?
