No problem, I hope everything works out for you! I think one breast producing more than another is pretty common. My right produces wayyyy more than my left. When I put DS to the left it almost never satisfies him unless he's comfort nursing or he already ate not too long ago. Do you have anyone else to help you out? After my second DH had to go straight back to work but MIL was around and she took my older son out all the time. Even for 4 hours it was a tremendous help.

have you thought about getting your placenta encapsulated? I had mine done, and my milk came in at 1 1/2 days PP...just a thought...

though I have an over supply now, and nursing is going not so good right now because of it.

Did you have a low milk supply last time you nursed?

nope I made just enough for Lydia. my milk didn't come in til 5 days with her however...
starting at around 4 weeks I did pump for 5 minutes on each side after 1 feeding in the morning, so I had a nice stash to try and bottle feed once in a while ( which she never did, she refused the bottle).
Id wait it out a cpl weeks at least before you pump to see what your body does, then maybe do that ^

Scarlett has been a really fussy baby, crying most of the day from me having foremilk/hindmilk imbalance making her tummy upset, along with greenish poops :/
I hope you figure things out to be able to have a successful nursing experience, I was so lucky the 1st time around, otherwise I don't think I would have breastfed at all!

Thank you i hope so too! How soon after birth did you start taking your placenta pills? I have a doula friend who is going to prepare mine after birth, but i wanted some raw, to take the first week or so and then encapsule the rest.

a friend of mine did mine as well.. I gave birth at 10:04 pm...she came to get my placenta around 8 am, and she brought them right to me as soon as she was done!..so I don't remember how soon exactly, but it wasn't too long after birth at all really.
I wanted to make a tincture myself, but ended up being too out of it to remember to cut a chunk off before she took it.

Same with DD! It's been awful. It's getting to where I have to do a couple feedings on each side before switching because she just chokes constantly and she is sooo fussy.

I'm up to 3 hours and it seems to be helping, thank goodness. She's actually nursing continuously for 10-15 minutes (which is her norm, she never goes for longer than that) and it feels great! She's also back to her usual happy self, and not fussy like she has been the past few days.
