Pregnancy tests are driving me nuts...

Hi ladies, I was wondering if any of you can shed some light on a issue I'm having with pregnancy tests. My period was due 02/10/13. I took a cheap 88 cent pregnacy test I bought at walmart on 02/09/10 because I just had a feeling I was pregnant. I'm not on the pill and me and the hubby have been acting like rabbits if you know what I mean. It showed two lines but the test line was soooo faint I thought I was hallucinating. I took another one (same walmart brand) on the day my period was due (Feb.10) and it looked the same. I took two on Tuesday from the dollar store and they came out negative. I feel nauseous and I can smell anything from a mile away. So I went and spent 20 bux on the EPT digital one. Right away it read "pregnant." So I went to the clinic today and it came out negative. But as they where drawing out some blood they rechecked (10 min had passed) and it was positive. So they told me to go back in a week to get my blood results and to take another test. I took another EPT digital one when I got home and it read "pregnant" again. I'm 3 days late (which Im never late) I feel sick and IDK how to erxplain it but I just feel pregnant. I have a 9 month old so I feel similar to when I was pregnant with him. So now Im worried that maybe my hormone is low and I will misscary? Ive also read that the tests at the doctors office are not as sensitive sometimes and maybe thats why its not picking up right away?Like I said, the test at the drs office did show a very faint line after 10 minutes. So for now theyre "assuming" Im pregnant. Anyone know anything about this or has had a similar experience? T.I.A!!!  

Your urine could have been diluted...wait a few days and test again with fmu.

If you are getting multiple positives you are pregnant.  

Hormone levels fluctuate throughout the day and some tests are less sensitive than others.

You're pregnant.

Sounds to me like your are pregnant. Dont forget that the FMU is the best urine to test with.

Not saying that this is your case. But the only time I had that happen was with my 1st pregnancy which was an Ectopic. I had cramping a week after my period stopped took a test it was positive went to the ER that night and the test was negative took 2 tests the next day and they showed positive

Not necessarily true. I always got darker BFPs in the PM. Everyone is different.

Thanks everyone! For some reason only the digital ones give me a straight answer. I also tried the one with the plus and minus sign and it turned into a super faint plus that cant even tell if its an evap line or not. It would be cruel trick if every single preg test ive taken is giving me a faint evap line.

No its not!! Every single time I have gotten a positive test was in the afternoon and evening


ETA: To of my pregnancies I found out at exactly 3 weeks

Well the directions on pretty much every test and 99.9% of the doctors I have talked to say FMU your urine is normally at its highest concentration in the mornings.

That's lovely. Still doesn't change the fact that plenty of women have higher levels in the evening. I got my most recent BFP at 4:30 pm. I was 3w2d.

I'd say you're pregnant after having multiple positives. Your urine may have been diluted, or you might show a stronger positive woth FMU or afternoon urine. There are a lot of reasons to get a false negative in early pregnancy, and digitals tend to be less sensitive than regular tests.

I will postr pictues right now and see if you girls can tell me

Eh, it's debatable. I always got my strong positives with late afternoon urine, personally and there have been some small studies that show a slightly higher amount of women getting positives in late afternoon as opposed to FMU. Remember that nothing is concrete in the world of medicine. Opinions and recommendations can change in the blink of an eye.
