BV, cramping and spotting/bleeding.

I am just wondering if anyone else has had this happen in their pregnancy and continued through their pregnancy without any other issues. I went for my 1st ultrasound 5 days ago. It was determined that I was 8 weeks 5 days pregnant and everything looked perfect! 3 days ago, I started cramping and spotting. Called my doctor and they scheduled me to come in today but if anything got worse, to go to the ER. Well, not long after that I started bleeding bright red. Went to the ER and once again, ultrasound looked perfect and cervix was still closed. Told me to stay off work until seeing my doctor today. Yesterday, my doctor called and said I have bv and I was started on an antibiotic. At my appointment today, the ultrasound again looked perfect, but I'm still cramping and having some bright red spotting. The doctor said there isn't any blood in my uterus and is starting me on progesterone. Also put me on bed rest until I follow up with him again in 2 weeks. Has anyone else been through this or something similar? I'm just worried and want my baby to be ok!

When Im pregnant, I continuously have BV, I also bled a lot, was on progesterone and cramped a ton. It never stopped and my son is now healthy, happy and 12 weeks old.
