French Onion Soup

Can you use, veggie stock instead of beef stock? And if so does it taste the same?



Anyone know?!

I would say you could use it, but I don't believe it would taste as good.

You can, but it definitely won't taste the same.

French Onion Soup needs the richness that beef broth brings.

It really pisses me off too, because everywhere that I eat it in restaurants has changed it. Applebee's and Panera both changed their soup.  

It will taste different but give it a try  .
