cheesecake question

after its done baking when do you release the pan?

the recipe never specified and mine is almost done in the oven.

I'd wait like maybe 10-15 minutes I think? I wouldn't want it to be completely cooled but definitely have a chance to 'set' and adjust to the temperature change. Geez I haven't made cheesecake in so long.

I was so wrong and I'm so sorry. I googled it and everyone says until after it's completely cooled. Like several hours.

Im also making cheesecake   I make it a lot and always wait until the setting period is over but when it is partially set I run a knife around the edge to prevent it from cracking.

mines already cracked lol but I don't even care, its the first time I made it so it was bound to crack lmao
