toddler erection lasting 2+ hours

My son just turned 2 this past weekend...at 3:20 he had a check up at the doctor...when the doctor went to check his groin area, he had an erection. He's done this before, so I didn't think anything of it...but since then he has had a few dirty diapers and used the bathroom twice...and the erection is still there. He acts like it hurts when I tried to clean around it, so I don't know what to do. I called the nurse but am waiting on a call back...

Any thoughts?

I dont know what to tell you. When my son was little it would get hard, then it would go limp.

If it doesnt go away in ithe next hour and she hasnt called you back I would go to an urgent care center.

Has it been erect the whole time or only when his diaper is off?

Are you sure hes had an erection the whole time?

If he acts like it hurts, I'd have him checked. No way to know that it's be erect the whole time unless you've been staring at it lol.. But a painful penis isn't something I'd classify as normal.

I cant say for toddlers specifically, but priapism becomes a concern at the four hour mark for grown men and is painful for them. I'd imagine it would be less for a toddler. This has been constant the full two hours? Talk to the nurse, but if it doesn't pass soon I would definitely get it looked at ASAP.

Warm bath? My uncle had that happen when he was around three and my grandfather put him in warm water and it went away.

We haven't had the diaper off so I don't know if it's been erect the whole time. My husband just changed him again and it was gone...but as soon as he took the diaper off, it shot up again...

He's never done this before so I guess I'll just keep an eye on it. Haven't heard anything from the nurse yet, but if it was gone a moment ago, Im assuming it's only happening when the diaper comes off/?

My sons penis always get's hard for a little bit when his pull up comes off in the morning. I am guessing it's from the shock of cold air, but since I don't have one, I can only speculate   It goes away after awhile tho.

I think the air is just stimulating it. I swear once I had a baby boy I thought penises would be the furthest thing from my mind since I'm a single mom, but I find myself wondering things about my son's way more often than I expected lol. ( Not in THAT way, of course)
