So I am almost 38 weeks. On Saturday I will be 38 weeks exactly. But for the past 2 days, I have had really bad contractions laying down, sitting up, walking, and they only seem to be bearable when I am standing. I also have really bad diarrhea and am drinking plenty of fluids and eating when I am hungry. My daughters head is all the way down and she is facing my spine. It is so uncomfortable to do anything. Could my misery finally be ending?

Could be, i had diarrhea almost every other day with my second but this was at 39-40 weeks. I could barely walk at this point and I had some mild contractions as well.

ETA: this started at 39 weeks and my water broke at 40w3d

They aren't really timeable. But they are definitely more severe than the ones I normally have.

I was in that crazy pre-labor limbo for the entirety of weeks 38 and 39, finally had her at 39 weeks 3 days. No one can ever tell you for sure when Itll happen, it's different for every woman and every pregnancy, but if I were placing bets? Yeah, I'd say your misery should be ending in the relatively near future.
