re: Did you know something was "off"?

My son at 8 months didn't babble, clap, wave, point, laugh.
He would gag and vomit when I tried feeding him solids that weren't smooth.
He sat unassisted at 6 months, crawled at 8 months and walked at 10 months, but walked like Tommie Pickles (rugrats) for months before correcting himself.
He startled all the time, even with nothing causing him to startle.
He kept his primitive reflexes for a long long time! (The grasp reflex didnt go away until well past a year old.) his fists were balled up constantly.
He started saying mama, dada and a few other simple words at 14 months and by 16 months his words diminished. He wouldn't walk anymore, 3 months after that he started walking again.
He had no eye contact, and wouldn't even look in your general direction.
He was very obsessive and would open and close doors, cupboards, draws for hours at a time.
He'd line shoes up over and over again. He'd flick switches on and off for hours.
If I tried stopping him or redirecting him to another activity he'd lose his smurf and go crazy screaming and kicking.
He's now 3 and a half, won't smile when you smile at him. He can ask a question and you can answer it but that's as far as conversation goes.
He doesn't come to me when playing at a playground for reassurance like his brother does. He doesn't like being watched when he does anything.
He has horrible sensory issues and doesn't eat really anything.
Things have to be the way he expects it to be or all hell will break loose.
He does the same thing the same way every time he does it.
He will insist on eating one food for weeks at a time, with no budging.
There's a hell of a lot to him, if you want to know anything just ask
