Pain a week after D&C?

I had a D&C on the 7th. For the first 2 days, I felt fine, light bleeding but that was it. Then the next few days I just had a little discharge, and some cramps. Then last night I got a horrible pain in my lower abdomen. It hurt more when I moved, and hurt to touch (by touch, I mean poke... coz I got a lot of fat to poke through) But if I stayed still, the pain went away enough for me to sleep. So I got a good sleep. Woke up with a bit of discomfort. But after dropping the kids off at school and care, it came back. It hurts to move, and hurts to touch. It is only on one side. The pain isn't too bad. More uncomfortable. But every now and then it gives a big sharp pain. Normally, I'd wait for it to go away, or get worse before I went to see a doctor. But because I had the D&C, I wasn't sure if it is normal, or if I should go see a doctor?
Should I wait to see if it gets worse (I'm thinking just overnight?) or give the doctor a call (he's pretty busy, and I'd hate to interrupt one of his appointments) or I could go in to the doctors surgery during open hours, I wont need an appointment, but could be waiting up to 2 hours to be seen. Or should I call up day surgery at the hospital where I had it done?
Or am I just being completely stupid... is this kind of thing normal after a D&C? I don't want to google it, because google always tells me I'm dying when I tell it my symptoms. Also, most of the things I've read on the net about D&Cs refer to miscarriages.... which I did not have.
