FIRST RESPONSE® Early Result Pregnancy Test

So it says that I can use this test 6 days BEFORE a missed period. How accurate is that? Is it likely to show up if I am? I have 9 days until I test, but will wait longer if it isn't going to show up. I found out I was pregnant with Christopher after two and a half months so no clue on testing earlier.

this didnt show positive for me until i actually missed my period. i got a positive on a digital (clear blue) 6DPO.

9 days until you test? So you ovulated like 3 days ago?

I used a FRER with both pregnancies. Found out 3-4 days before I ever missed my period. The further away from your period the less of the chance that it will pick up though.

I got my bfp on it like 9 days early or something like that....got my first bfp on a walmart cheapie even sooner than that.

I never used expensive tests, but my friend has and she is an obsessive POASer...so she'd know lol. She said it's accurate, she tried to get me to take one with Lilly but I didn't

I used that and got a pos about 7 or 8 dpo.

I tested 5 days before expecting my period with both pregnancies and they were both positive.

So it's VERY possible that it could pick up as soon as now.

Not supposed to test for 9 more days (meaning the 20th), but I want to test SO BADLY in hopes I'll get my positive today or tomorrow since tomorrow is V-day. I'd love to surprise DH. That'd be the best gift ever.

Yup! I ovulated like right on schedule for a 28 menstrual cycle. Aug 18th got my pos opk (had sex the next day after no sex for about a week maybe a day or 2 more) then exactly a week after the opk got my VERY faint bfp on the walmart cheapie....then 2 days later got my frer bfp. Pretty sure I ovulated the day after my opk was positive which makes it 6dpo for my cheapie and 8 for the frer. Would have starts about Sept 1.

ETA - we were tracking big time because of pcos...was on b/c and metformin before that cycle.

I got the one that said "up to 6 days sooner" and it still didn't give me an actual positive until I was about a week late.

If you're only 3dpo, that won't be possible. The soonest the egg can implant is 6dpo, then it takes at least a day or two for hormones levels to be high enough in the urine to pick up.

That being said, average implantation is 6-12dpo. So it's still very likely to not get a positive.

Would another brand work better?
