Nanny jobs pay well. I Gused to watch several sets of newborn twins/triplets for an overnight care agency in college. the money was amazing $300-$450 per night cash. I'd work 5 nights a week.

Good luck finding a job. There is something out there for everyone! :-)

Somethings are out of our control.

Nanny jobs are temporary... Even the BEST most "stable" nanny job will only last a few years at the very most. You should know that..

I have 2 freakin kids. They are NOT hiring people who have kids. I'm torn, leave my kids and have a job or or stay with my kids and make a little bit of money a week. I dunno, I'll probably had to stick them in daycare although I think it's kinda rediculous raising someone else's kids while my own are at daycare. I'll do it if I have to. I've been trying to get a couple kids to watch here but it's not working out. I'll figure it out.
It's frustrating but it's not the end of the world.

i agree with that statement 100% -- if i needed to earn money to provide for my kids i would do ANYTHING. im not too proud to work the most menial job if my kids depended on ME bringing home money. i think thats a lot of women's problems... they feel such an such a job is below them. there is no way someone has been looking for work for months upon months and cant find anything.... its that they arent applying to the right jobs, or they arent taking whats offered. i can garuntee to find anyone a job within 2 weeks.

Was the babysitter job at nights? What times? I could get someone to watch my kids at night. Smurf. I was a personal assistant but I paid so much in Childcare. I love your posts/replies. They crack me up! I've done some new age math to path my bills lol. Hahahahaha. It's all good. I know I'm a loser and smurfed up tons of times but that's not going to keep me from paying my bills!

girl you are NOT a loser. we all smurf up! thats part of growing as a person. some smurf ups and funner // funnier than others, but its all learning experiences!

i worked for a company that specifically did overnight nanny care for newborn multiples. the first family i worked for had just brought their twins home from the hospital THAT night -- 2 days old -- and i had them for 10 hours overnight. 8pm to 6am. I made $300. I ended up branching off and networking and ditching the company and went off on my own by word of mouth. I made $25-$40 an hour. It was all cash under the table. I sometimes think about doing it again, just for the pure joy of holding newborns again and getting paid $$$ to do it. i got every single nanny job i every interviewed for. i know my "look" has a lot to do with it - ive been told by several people. im thin, blonde hair blue eyed, "preppy college girl next door" kind of girl.

Hehe. I'm girl next door type. Blonde/blue. People aren't into bringing kids into the mix. I'll try the overnight thing. Nanny co was adamantly against bringing kids ( those jobs don't show up). I got a couple. I can find people to watch kids overnight. I'm good at threatening lol. I'm going to try overnight tmrw. Thanks for your help.

I just need to make a couple hundred i make a smurf ton in child support. I'd have to work full time at McDonald's. I made $12 an hr being a nanny for a couple hours. Grrrr. I'll figure this out.

I haven't complained of it. And I am doing school, whoever said I wasn't. I've done 1 online class a semester because that is all I can afford right now. I mean I don't even get child support. So how am I complaining? I've paid for everything on my own. Once I get tax returns I'm getting a cheap car. I'm doing what I can in my situation.

Me too. I can't go to school right now though. I was raped in June and I was really depressed and anxious so didn't attend my last week (finals) and failed all my classes and now I'm ineligible for financial aid. I do what I can to get by. Hopefully I find work soon
