I've been applying to literally every retail Stores and fast food places, on top of places for a CMA position, since JULY. I have had 3 interviews, and haven't been offered a position yet.
It's hard to find a job.

Rent isn't that much in other places. Some places rent is only a matter of 500 or less a month.

Also, yes, sometimes it is that difficult to find a job. You're very lucky to not have had problems finding work, but it is not so easy for a lot of people. There are many people currently looking for work. The process to get a job can easily take 2 months or more, assuming you actually get it. Another two weeks or so to get paid, and you can be without a paycheck for 3 or 4 months even if you attempt to find a job and have a call back right away.

Rent is much cheaper in Wa i lived there for 4 years and rent was as low as 500 to no higher then 900 for apartments. And if she is really in spokane then the job market isnt that good there its not a big huge city. I live in miami and its super hard to find a job here i have been looking for 2 months and still nothing and especally if you want a full time because part time is crap. And min wage is crap. I hope all things work out for you OP.

I was just giving an example. Here it is hard to find a job during the winter months, but our economy is based off the lake during the summer. /shrugs.

i find that very hard to believe.

if you were willing to work any job to earn money you would be gainfully employed by now.

what exactly are you looking for? a tourism job? not sure where you were going with that.

like i had said before, i was offered several jobs within a week of sending out resumes and CVs along with a few interviews . i dont need to work right now, nor do i want to at the moment. im sure if i *needed* a job i'd have a more diffiuclt time finding work, haha seems to be the way thigns work!

Ummm restaurants/walmart and other stores like that only hire during the summer. It has nothing to do with a tourism job considering those don't exists around her.

Some places are very dependent on the season. Where I live we have "snowbirds" which are all the people who spend the winters here because it's so nice and warm. During the summer many places completely close up, or at least slow their hours and employees way down. So during "season" you can find LOTS of tempt jobs, but in the summer? Nope. Because there aren't nearly as many customers so businesses don't hire as many people. They keep a bare minimum staff.

Yeap Yeap. The place I work now I get 25 hrs a week which is the most any employee can get during off season besides for managers. This summer I'll be at 40+ hrs a week but they don't like hiring more than the bare min they will need year around.

Can you borrow some money.
Also there are apartments that go by income. My ex got an apartment for 400. Yes it may be the projects but at least it's something.
OP good luck. Keep your head up high

Some people are not so lucky. I looked actively for 6 months and the only job that I could come up with is delivering pizzas for 4.75 an hour and tips. 6 months later I am still looking and NOTHING is hiring.
I guess it is nice that you were able to waste an employers time by putting in your applications when you obviously do not need the job just because you were bored though...

It does cover my rent but I'm not living in an amazing apartment for $1500. I live in a modest apartment complex, not the projects but not high class either. My rent is $515 for a small 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. My tanf is $525 for a family of 3. Being on tanf you have an ISP (individual success plan). It lays out everything you need to get done and a deadline, so no people who get cash assistance are not lazy or choosing to be unemployed. I am required to apply for 10 jobs per week which I usually apply for more than that. I have applied at taco bell, McDonalds, Walmart, Target, Head Start, daycares, KinderCare, substitute teaching, Applebees, Olive Garden, Schwans, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, Dicks Sports, IHOP, Casino attendant jobs, Shuttle Bus driver, medical receptionist, Jack in the Box, gas station attendant... etc... I am trying my best! Too bad not everyone is as qualified as you or as lucky to live in an area so abundant with jobs opportunities.

Dang girl! Make sure you are calling back with a "Hi my name is so and so and I put in an application on such and such date. I was just wondering if you had time to review my application yet." Keep your name in their mouths.
