Yep but the matching tat we're getting is perfectly acceptable if we divorced since we'd still be fans.

My SO still has his exes named tattooed right on his lower stomach. It actually drives me insane. He's gonna get it covered when he gets a chance.

So that being said, I would never get anyone's name tattooed on me, but I would get matching lol.

my SO said he doesnt care how they have to cover up, even if they have to put a big black patch on it.

it truthfully doesnt get to me that much! they were together 9 years, i just wish it was somewhere else..like his arm, not somewhere i look at while doing the dirty and stuff LOL

did you get yours covered or removed?

My husband and I each have a half of a heart on the side of our hands, so when we hold hands the heart is complete  And I would have no second thoughts about getting another matching tattoo with him! I don't think it's for everyone though.

My fiance' and I got matching tattoos although it wasn't really on purpose.. we got them for our son who passed away, I got his initials on my right arm and so did my fiance' (in the exact same spot) but we got them while we were taking a break from eachother (losing our son did a lot to us, we took a few months apart and are better than ever now), so I guess it's more of a coincidence that we got matching tattoos. If he wanted to get another matching tattoo with me, that's fine as long as it's something we'd agree on. If we ever split up down the road, I don't think it'd bother me knowing he was walking around with the same tattoo. We've lost a child together and are about to have another one together so whether we have the same ink or not, we're gonna be connected no matter what.
His name, on the other hand.. no. I've already made the mistake of getting someone's name tattooed on me (I was 18 and rebellious and I think I was more concerned with proving a point to my mother.. which only ended up blowing up in my face lol) and I would never do it again unless it was a family member or child.

Mine is covered, but u can still see it, last year at our sons bday it was a pool party so every 1 saw it lol,

My ex still has my name on his chest, and my portrait on his arm, he has a few girlfriends, lol he's already said he won't cover them... but he's a huge smurf, I know he uses it to his advantage haha

Yep....my EX husband and I got matching pawprint tattoos, but HE copied me- I didn't intend for us to have matching ones. I picked out a tribal pawprint that I absolutely loved, and had it put on my left breast- and after I had it done, he goes, "I think I'm going to get the same thing"- so he got it on his arm.   He did it because I refused to get his name on me, because I don't believe in it. Well, 5 years later, we're divorced. And I'm stuck with a constant reminder of him. BUT I don't regret the tattoo- it's very "me", I just regret the fact that he had to be a copycat and steal my tattoo.
