Couple questions about water births
posted 13th Feb
I had a emergency csection with my son and from the beginning of my pregnancy with him I had considered a water birth. Well with my next baby I am set on having one. I found a birthing center that accept tricare here and that sealed the deal. I was wondering for those of you that have had one, just a couple questions, a couple silly ones.
Have you ever had a birth with epidural besides your water birth? Was the pain bad enough that you regretted not getting an epi?
Did you poop in the water? :S Always been a fear of mine even with a regular birth. I know it's normal but it's still embarrassing and I feel like that would be gross if I pooped in the water...
Had you ever had a previous pregnancy where you had a csection? Was it an issue with your midwife to have a vbac let alone a water birth?
Were you able to have cameras in there and take pictures or video? I know hospitals don't really allow that anymore so I am curious if that is allowed in most birthing centers?
....If I think of any more I will add them. TIA

I've had 2 epidural births and 1 water birth. In the moment, I thought it was the worst idea I ever had I didn't realize how close I was to delivery and I thought the pain was going to get exponentially worse. If we ever have another child, if all goes well it will be in the water again...so I don't regret not getting an epi obviously.
I did not poop in the water.
Never had a section so I am not of any help there.
We didn't have any camera and I wish we did. We were told the German hospital didn't really allow that, but come to find out after the fact that they do.

I had only 1 birth and it wasn't a water birth bit I considered it with my first. The midwife told me a lot of people do poop in the water but they have a little fish net and they just scoop it out. I didn't have an epi with my first and I don't regret it at all. I definitely want a water birth my next baby
