Breastfeeding - are we getting better or worse

It's a clip from Sesame Street showing breastfeeding....and it's from 1977 - so do you think we are getting weirder about public nursing? I can't imagine Sesame Street airing this today....

I think some people are getting better, and some are getting worse.

Before I ever thought of getting pregnant, I always thought it was almost.... awkward, when mothers would BF in public. Now that I am pregnant and wanting to breastfeed, I don't have a problem with it at all.

I cant see that being aired. Did they actually air it in the 70s? Or is it a deleted clip?

That's sweet and it explains bfing well to young children. I hope it was actually aired. If it was, I'm surprised I haven't heard about this by now.

I wish things were getting better, theyre getting worse sadly. Thats not going to stop me from nursing my babies though. I know breast is best.

I would say overall, worse.

Buuuut I did see a breast feeding mom on a luvs commercial last night!!

Definitely worse. Breastfeeding is a natural, wonder thing but a lot of people see it in a very negitive way. :/
