It depends on the brand, the car seat I bought Jay expires in 7 years and that is a newer model Graco. I think generally car seats expire in about 6 years though

I emailed her and she said no where on the seat does it say it's expired "so it is fine to use."

Generally speaking you go off of the manufacture date; I am pretty sure it will not say "Expires on March 14th 2007"

The expiration is usually branded into the plastic not on a tag. So it's harder to see. What kind of car seat?

mine does. Well it doesnt say expires. But there is a manufacture date and there there is a another date that says, do not use after _____
