So my friend is in the hospital...

She has been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and they've given her a shot for his lungs since shes only 33 weeks. They did an ultrasound a few minutes ago and said they are concerned because the baby is very small and they dont think he's getting fluid to the placenta.. They didnt explain what that meant and shes terrified. Does anyone know what that could possibly mean? She wants any answer she can get to put her mind at ease.

Have her call the doctor back in and ask him/her. They'll be able to answer that question better than us.

My sister went through the same thing and her baby was delivered at 35 weeks. Good luck to your friend on a happy, healthy baby.

Shes been paging them for a while but hes assisting another delivery and the nurses "aren't allowed to discuss it"...
