Pregnancy Pilates
posted 13th Feb
This might be a stupid question, but I am going to ask it anyways. I am 21 weeks this week. I want to start prenatal pilates to help with my flexibility and core strength. But I was wondering if #1 It's okay to start this "late in the game"..(I did pilates pre-pregnancy but got really sick early on and had to stop) #2 Can it help me tone too? I am so not toned anymore in my legs and butt and I hate it. #3 Can it help with my love handles that are appearing once again? I am not trying to lose weight, AT ALL! I just want to know if this will help me get into shape and have a healthy last part of my pregnancy. THANKS!

I'm sure it really doesn't matter how late you start. It really won't hurt as long as you don't push yourself. If it starts to hurt, stop.
On the toning... I'm not sure. Your legs will probably get in shape if you do squats and what not, but since you're not supposed to do a lot of abdominal exercises idk if there's much you can do about the love handles... I'll be watching, if any one else has an opinion on that bc mine have gotten bad since I got pregnant.
