lol I forget to add of course knowing your childs development being at his level you need to see how he will climb and such ...only way I figured out how mine got out of his crib before the age of one...brat started climbing before he could really walk and yea that made things a whole new ballgame

We have a one bedroom apartment so it's not too much space to baby proof. But we have a superyard thing to block off the TV and computer area. It's great! Then we just close off the bedroom and bathroom with closed doors with doorknob covers. He pretty much stays out of the cabinets now but he loves the fridge... we had a lock on it but he figured it out.

Oh, and he'll be 3 next month so a little older than your LO.

My son is 22 mo and I thought I had everything baby proofed....then he figured out something new. Pulling boxes, chairs, anything over to something he wanted to climb and using them to get a "lift." That's something I have to watch out for now cause I obviously can't take everything out of the room. So I can't take my eyes off him for a minute, it seems. Oh and a lock for the dishwasher door...He liked to open that, climb on it to reach the counter.

I have learned it is unique to each child & what they do. I have 2 boys & watch a few others. There is one 2 yr old boy in particular I watch that takes it to a whole different level of proofing & even then I just have to make sure he is NEVER out of my sight if I don't want to deal with some level of clean up or something. For instance we had one day that was super good..and I told his mom this when she came to get him. Just then he managed to grab my glass & spill it all down the front of him. She said "So much for your great day with him" and I said , "Oh no, that's fine, that was the 3rd time that happened today, I just messed up & sat my cup too low again." and she laughed. SHE knows - she live sit EVERY day & the stories I get from her are worse than I've ever dealt with. On his FIRST day he managed to get a nail polish (not mine, don't know where it came from) and spilled it all over himself & my oldest. Him mom thought he might have somehow brought it in his pocket or something. I don't normally paint my nails & have maybe 2 colors......for real though - daily he does stuff that surpasses what my kids EVER did. So - you have to "proof" for the child in question.

Sounds like my child. He loves anything in a bottle.
