Agonizing pain

I've been in tears since 11 pm.. my smurfing tooth is killing me and there are no 24 hr dentists in my area... I believe I need a root canal... it hurts so bad and I've tried everything to try to make the pain bearable... I don't know what else to do

If u have wafers chew it in ur other side and block the tooth u need root canal on, second place garlic, or clove, or ice bag or hot bag varies from person to person........I am sorry I know much pain u r going through

I'm guessing you arne't in the US. what are wafers?

OP... did you try taking 800 mg motrin? that usually helps most pain.

and shots.. lots of alcohol... (joking about that one.. kinda)

I've tried Motrin, yes... it's been 3 hours and nothing. I've rinsed, flossed, brushed, cold/heat, numbing agents, tried blocking the tooth .. nothing has helped yet. No alcohol in the house here.. we're boring :-/ I called the on call dentist half an hour ago and left a message.. just waiting to hear back... I've been awake since 4 am yesterday .. I'm tired and cranky... plus I have to work today, which I'll be calling in.. ugh... not to mention I don't have dental so whatever needs to get done will be out of pocket..

I love those and they work great for headaches, but I also tried that, rubbing the powder directly on my tooth a gums and still no relief..

How many did you take?

And the office doesn't open til 8.. uuuuuugh...

just one powder plus 3 motrin

I have major wisdom tooth issue's and i find clove oil with Benzocaine help straight away as it numbs the nerves and gum and ibuprofen plus codeine help you to sleep and keeps the pain away, im in australia so not sure if you have these things or even know what they are

My ex had the WORST TIME with his teeth.. he would normally take two goodys along with an 800 mg Ibuprofen.. (not saying to do that) .. But it normally relieved his pain for the time being.
