Depression/PPD update

Ive been on my meds for about 4-5 weeks now & am feeling so much better already..

I know ive still got a long way to go but im more patient with the kids, not as tired/lacking in motivation & able to enjoy them now without getting frustrated easily or being short tempered.

Its so nice to feel like im coping.. i use to think i wasnt maternal and just wasnt cut out to be a Mum naturally.

I think it was just the PPD taking over to be honest.

Things can only get better from here  .. im so glad i spoke to the DR about it even though it made me feel like a horrible mother.

I am glad to hear it. I am pretty sure I have PPD but I lost my insurance before I even got to go to my 6 week PP check up. So I am left to deal with it alone.

Its such a hard thing to deal with.. and the most strange thing was i didn't know or think that i had PPD.. i thought it was way worse then what i had - shaking babies etc  

I just thought i was a bad mum.. short tempered.. tired from having 2 under 2 etc..

When i spoke to the DR it all made sense.

Hopefully you'll manage to get yourself sorted some time.
