PROMETHAZINE WITH CODEINE

If this does NOT work on your cough. can they give u something else? Or is that pretty much the strongest out there? Sucks.. I can't sleep

I've tried Mucinex, cough drops, honey, pretty much everything under the sun.. nothing is helping.. just got on antibiotics, apparently that's the only thing that's going to help me

Promethazine is just the generic phenegren. Codeine is a narcotic. How will that help a cough?

Edit: just wondering cause I have been taking promethazine my whole pregnancy due to hyperemesis. As I type I have an awful cough.

It worked teh very first time I ever used it 2 years ago for a bad cough.. now it doens't do jack smurf.. all it does is make me sleepy.. it's supposed to supress the cough reflex in the brain.. i think it just works because it puts people to sleep haha .. but alas, it doesnt do that for me..

Yeah I know they have cough medicine with codeine but I have never heard promethazine being used as a cough suppressant lol!

And adding codeine would knock me on my ass! One promethazine alone and I am OUT!!!! Lol

I am hoping to stay pregnant past Thursday. I have pre-e and we will probably have to deliver now that I hit the "safe mark" of 34 weeks and nothing is getting better :-(

Thanks! I had the shots for his lungs so hopefully it helped! I had my youngest at 35 and he was totally fine :-) hoping bubs is the same!

Codeines awesome for coughs...

As soon as my mom and aunt start get a lil heckle, they are making appts. To get their sizzurp...  
My mom was all on her high horse when lil wayne got in trouble for that smurf, then I explained what it was, then all of a sudden he didn't deserve that, and people are soo nosey   lol

codeine is great for a cough!

Why doesn't it work for me, do I need to take more than a teaspoon.. I'm a small girl.. :-/ 5'4 114 pounds
