hobby

Im a stay at home mom and I feel guilty saying this because I do have a great life, but Im miserable! I love my kids, I do. Daycare makes working pointless. I need a hobby!!! What do other moms (stay at home or not) do. I would love things outside of the house but that are kid friendly since I have mine 24/7 and that dont cost a billion dollars. Inside would work too. Ive tried knitting but that makes me even more crazy lol. Could be because I havnt figured out how to do anything other than a square lol but thats beside the point Im open to anything at this point!

I love crafting. Anything that is a craft is fun. I am going tomorrow to Michaels and buying some blank white canvas. I use my cricut to cut vinyl to put on it and let my LO finger paint all over it. Then peel the vinal off so the image is still in white. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Quoting 2mama'sboys:" both boys 5 year old and a 1 year old"

Okay, so then when you make breakfast lunch dinner and snacks make it fun. Cut things into fun shapes ect and let you 5 year old help. Try to make a art project for every day. Coloring, painting, making a collage, making puppets and putting on a puppet show. Get some fun board games. Stuff you can do with both of them, set up some old bottle and use a ball (you gotta have a ball lol) and do bowling. Sit on the floor and roll the ball with the little on. Turn off all the light s but on small one and go to a dark place and to shadow puppets. If it is warm outside go for a walk, go to the park. maybe a park that has a small toy for the tot. If you like art project, maybe try latch hooks or buying some cheap photo frames and a hot glue guna and put your own twist on them. sew up a fort for the kids that you guys can set up every once in a while. maybe even make it so you can see the t.v., make some popcorn and or milkshakes and sit and watch an age appropriate movie. WHen the kids are napping or occupied with their own thing( my kids are like this ofter) then maybe find a book you like. Make cleaning an exercise. Turn on the music and dance while you bust out that dirty house, both kids will enjoy this. if there is anyone like dad around or anything to watch the kids at night then get yourself some spa stuff for you house, take a nice bath and pamper yourself. There are so many ideas. Puzzle books I love those. Sometimes I get on facebook just to play games. Like now the kids are playing together and don't want me so I am on here giving advice the best I can. It's the little things. I think the biggest thing is find things you like and to also figure out a way to incorporate the kiddos into it to make it kid friendly. and having a 5 year old, they get interested in things mom is doing. I bet he would love to kick around a soccer ball, shoot some hoops, or throw a football around. even if you are not good at it yourself, its just all in good fun and everyone could get some laughs and if you explain to the 5 year old that you gotta be gentleish bla bla bla then it could be fun for your tot as well. Hope I helped in some way
