placenta abruption

So im 18.5 weeks preg. . . i found out i have a mild placenta abruption, im sure that everything will end up decently fine, however i am curious about it...and scared...has anyone had it, or know someone that did...that maybe could tell me more about it, and maybe about the baby too....good or bad....i can only read so many information things online...and id likte to hear real life experiences...thanks

Interesting they diagnosed that at 18wks, i had one and delivered right away at 34 wks. Id get a second opinion, cause that sounds wrong to me.

Yeah my dr has me on bedrest and i had been bleeding went to the er they said i was fine, then i went to my dr and got my 20 week u.s. the baby is really small and he showed me where i had blood between the placenta and uterus, put me on monitering and bedrest, its not a complete tear only partial, but then bleeding started again went to the er they said the same thing...idk the whole thing is...gah

I remember having my low lying placenta (and circumvallet at that) with my 2nd daughter, i swear the hospital wasmy second home!! Extreme bed rest (ifpossible) may help a bit! I hadno idea you could have a partial abruption. What is your goal week they want to get you to?

They are sending me to a specialist so idk .....lol... i guess its like hey dont stress but were gonna switch your doctor to stress u out.
