I say if you're willing to try to go without it I say go for it. I regret even trying to get one because my back is still sore (seven months later) and they couldn't even get it to work. It made my toes tingle but that was it, no pain relief but surprisingly it wasn't that bad once I had it mind that I had no other choice that to tough it out.

My contractions were nothing when I was induced. I would never get an epi. So many of my friends still have back pain and their kids are as old as 3 1/2
